Gloria Cangahuala has been playing piano since the age
of four. Originally from
Chattanooga, TN, she received
her B.S. in Management
Information Technology and
Minor in Music from the
Massachusetts Institute of
Technology, and her MBA from
the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill. She is also an
accomplished violinist, having
played with the Santa Monica Symphony and currently
with the Claremont Symphony.

Esther Kim, violin, spent last year
(her junior year of high school)
studying music in Vienna. Since
her first solo performance, which
was with the Claremont
Symphony in 2001, she has won
numerous competitions and has
soloed with a number of local
orchestras as well as the Seoul
Sinfonietta in Korea and at the Kioi
Hall in Japan.

Dr. Randall Polevoi currently
serves as adjunct faculty at
Fullerton College and piano
accompanist at Temple Beth Israel
in Pomona. He has been a featured
performer on radio station KPFK,
and has appeared at the Orange
County Performing Arts Center.
This is Dr. Polevoi's second
appearance with the Claremont
Sympnony, and represents a further investigation into
some of the lesser known concert pieces of Frederic
Chopin.
