Operating costs

Every gift
offsets real costs.

Like every orchestra, CSO carries significant ongoing expenses. Your donations directly offset the costs of bringing each season to the stage, so that we can keep our concerts free.

  • Music rental

Scores and parts for every concert program.

  • Facility rental

Performance and rehearsal venues and related personnel.

  • Soloist fees

Guest artists who bring their virtuoso talents to the stage.

  • Videography and photography

Recording concerts so they remain accessible and are preserved for the historical record.

  • Insurance

Coverage that protects performers and audiences.

  • Printing expense

    Programs, flyers, and season materials.

  • Storage

Secure housing for our music library, historical archives, and performance equipment.

These are only some of the essentials behind every concert — the music you enjoy is made possible by the generous support of patrons like you.
